BORP
BORP (Bay Area Outreach Programs)- a 501(c)3 was our first working partner and the real inspiration for Palindrome Advisors. BORP specializes in providing accessible sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with physical disabilities in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Notable events and activities hosted by BORP include the Revolution Ride and general Adaptive Cycling, Wheel Chair Basketball, Power Soccer, Goal Ball, Sled Hockey, Outdoor programs, and much more. They are a wonderful organization that serve an overlooked population; they empowering those who participate in their programs, and their programming has measurable real world results. While nationwide about 20% of physically disabled Americans don't graduate high school, 80% don't graduate college, and 73% are unemployed, 100% of BORP participants graduate high school, 80% graduate college, and unemployment is only 20%. BORP is an organization making a difference and Palindrome Advisors is honored and privileged to help them.
Zaw and Brandon were originally tasked with helping BORP rebrand the organization in order to help give the organization a fresh and professional new image. While the re-branding efforts are still underway, Palindrome has also expanded the scope of its activity with BORP, including creating comprehensive social and mobile media strategies as well as PR campaigns to accompany the eventual re-branding celebration.
