Global Heritage Fund

The Global Heritage Fund, a 501(c)3 is a very important organization dedicated to the preservation of the World Heritage sites as well as the continued education of the public as to the significance of these sites and what dangers they face.  Due to deforestation, poor site management, urban sprawl and many other factors, many historically significant sites such as the Cyrene Amphitheater in Libya and the World Heritage site in Hampi, India.  You may not have heard of these sites; this should only help illustrate how important their mission of education is.  The sites they help protect are truly endangered and once they're destroyed no one will know of their beauty or remember the important contributions that these ancient civilizations made to our society today.
